Civil Rights Reflection

Imagine that you were a member of the Supreme Court who declared that the buses were discriminating against Rosa Parks and other African Americans. Why did you agree with Rosa Parks? What helped your decision? Why did you think it was unfair for African Americans to have to give up their seats to whites?

I agree wit Rosa Parks cause I believe wat she did was rite. The way she boycotted the buses for her rite and wat she believed in!! Plus wats the difference between whites and african americans besides our color?! We are all people rite?!..but back den segregation was a big deal n dats wat Rosa Parks n Martin luther King Jr. were tryin 2 stop...so we canall b treated equally.

It's nice to know that students like you are the future of America. If everyone was as fair minded and smart as you all are, maybe our history wouldn't have had so many unpleasant moments. Great job ladies!!

If I were a member of the Supreme Court I would also agree with Rosa Parks.I feel that African Americans were treated unfairly at the time because of the color of their skin and I feel that it wasn't fair.I believe people from back then whom believed in the separation of to races needed to look at thing from a different view. The race opposite from the African Americans didn't have a clue what it was like for them in a days of work....To give up their seats and to take all this crap and never fight back. Therefore thats why I strongly believe thats African Americans were treated unfairly.I believe that it was extremely unfair to African Americans to give up their seats for another person of a different race just because of the character of their skin.I think people should have saw past the skin and pasted the other different features among the two races and treated everyone as a whole.....cause no one should be discriminated for the color of their skin ....There is always something deeper within the person. In other words I agree with Rosa Parks that African Americans were being treated unfair at the time and it was about that time things changed.

well I think its unfair because anybody no matter what should have that right to sit where they want.If you ake up that right you might as well take up the right to eat what they want, breathe when they want , move when they want, and so on. its kind of riddiculous to say to someone hey you cant sit in that sit its being childish and rude. The segregation laws were a bit out of control well all the way out of control to divide people by the color of their skin is really demeaning if they cant be together because they are different colors then you might as well seperate crayola crayons too and that ends my statement.
